sangamon county question

I just bought a PRO 97 from radio shack and I was wondering if anyone knows if the Sangamon County Sheriff's Office uses a trunking system like Springfield PD uses. I'm just starting to get the hang of things and I constantly here officers on Sangamon Co. freqs saying "go to channel this or that". Am I just missing freqs or is there some kind of trunking system available. Please be kind to a n00b.

Sangamon County does not use a trunking system.
