I bought a Sangean ATS-909X to replace my "nearly non-functional" Radio Shack DX-398. I really like the new model. However, just like the ATS-909/DX-398, it has that loud key-beep feature to confirm keypresses, which I absolutely hate. I disabled it on the old DX-398 by opening the case and clipping one wire to the tiny beep speaker. Does anyone know if there is a less-invasive way to do this on the ATS-909X, or if not, it the procedure to disconnect it similar, without harming the unit?
Thank you in advance.
