I am rerturning to santa barabara for a short vacation after a long stay in Utah...

I would like to know if anyone know if the sheriff and fire are still broadcasting in analog and do they still talk in the clear?

I haven't had dealing with the Sheriff's Dept. in years, but I know the County Fire Dept., City Fire Dept., Santa Maria Fire Dept., and the little Dept.'s in between are all VHF and Analog still. As is San Luis Obispo County F.D. if you are traveling thru that area also.
