I'm unable to get the Santa Fe police trunking channels two or three days a week. On the other days no problem. Anyone else having this problem, or have a solution?

I'm having the same problem on all SFPD frequencies. I have a PRO 95 and a few weeks ago it stopped getting any city police broadcasts. No problem with County or fire. I wonder if they switched to digital.

I have he same scanner but find I can get SFPD every other day, so doubt they went digital (hope not- can't afford a digital scanner!). On the days I can't get the police I can't get city fire either (1616) except for the VHF dispatch with tone.

I can also only get the VHF dispatch (tone). What frequency do you get PD on ? I'll try locking that in on manual.

My wife and I and her friend plan on moving down to Sante Fe in a couple of years. Of course I will bring my Pro 106. I see it is analog there. The posters above are you still having problems picking the Sante Fe PD up?

Symptoms such as you report on a trunking system are indicative of not having ALL the control channels programmed and the cc is alternating to one you don't have programmed. Or has your area rebanded?

Have any of you tried to use the search feature on your scanner to see where the new CC is?

I use the search ( scan ) most of the time. I'm just going to re-program all of my frequencies. See if that will work.

Search and Scan are two different things. "Scan" scans what you have programmed into your radio. "Search" looks at frequencies in your search range. Thats how you can find out if they did indeed change frequencies.

Santa Fe Police/Medical

Have programmed the two control channels listed, still have the same problem. Aoso does anyone know how to get the paramedic/hospital transmissions? Doesn't seem to be on the med frequencies anymore.

If you park your radio on any of the freqs, do you hear the control channel?

Yes- oddly enough even when it's not trunking right there is still a control channel there.

There are two listed in the reference under control channel. How do I know if it's the base? It's NOT the primary used for dispatch. This is a Motorola type II trunked system.

Well I searched the FCC and see one expired license. But I \'m guessing it is old. FCC Callsign: KVX845 (SANTA FE, CITY OF DBA CITY OF SANTA FE)

Licensee Name: SANTA FE, CITY OF DBA CITY OF SANTA FE

License: KVX845
Status: TERMINATED
County: SANTA FE
State: NM
Radio Service: PW: Public Safety Pool, Conventional

Notes:

Also I searched by just putting the regular frequencies and nothing came up at all it just said try again. I put in the control channel frequencies and those came up fine with their call sign assigned to them.
