Last month I was visiting the central Sonoma County area and I thought I heard what sounded like P25 data on Santa Rosa's channel 4. Can't confirm that as I didn't have the necessary equipment to check. Wondering if anyone else had noticed it.

SRPD 4 runs mixed mode analog and P25, sometimes encrypted. In the future all digital will be encrypted.

Funny , their license doesn't list any digital modes...

Any NAC available?

Stockton shares the same freq. I know it's a ways away, but could it be possible you are hearing them? I can hear Santa Rosa PD from here.

Well I'll be, didn't realize that. As of April I don't have any dealings with the city anymore so they will have to figure that out on their own.

And yes they use Astro. Analog is 127.3 , NAC is 127 (pretty clever huh?)

Definitely possible. I was slightly above Santa Rosa when I caught it. I had a pretty good signal though so I didn't think to check.
