Listening to Mt Wave up at Larch Mt. They are talking about what frequencies to use for search today.

They mentioned "SAR Orange" (or something that sounded like orange)

I've not heard of that (Just State & National SAR) .. anybody know?

They also talked about using lower powered radios if they use the SAR "Orange"

Orange is just narrow band state sar. Since not all groups have converted to narrow its a way to distinguish wide from narrow in templates.
