Excited and honored to announce that the Buchanan County, Iowa Board of Supervisors voted today to award a contract to RACOM to deploy and maintain a new advanced P25 trunked land mobile radio and fire paging system for use by their first responders. The mission critical network will consist of four tower sites to provide improved coverage and over 400 new mobile and portable radios. This system will also be connected into Iowa's largest P25 network - SARA (Shared Area Radio Agreement) - for extended coverage and seamless communications interoperability with neighboring agencies.
