Sarasota AIR??

I programmed both the Jacksonville and Miami ATCC frequencies and am getting very little traffic. Getting the airport fine but according to flightaware there are flights buzzing all around me but I am not picking up much!! I get plenty of the Sarasota Tower so I know I can pick stuff up fine, just nothing like up north I guess. I was just used to getting a lot of air radio traffic upnorth. Any auggestions????????

TPA Approach: See Hillsborough County - Tampa International Airport (TPA) Scanner Frequencies and Radio Frequency Reference Scroll down to Tampa ATC/TRACON. You especially want the South frequencies. TPA Lo/Hi split is 4000/5000. South Satellite (Lo) <119.65> is default.

ZMA: Miami (ZMA) Air Route Traffic Control Center Scanner Frequencies and Radio Frequency Reference Scroll down to Florida RCAG section. Program Avon Park freqs (especially Lakeland Hi/Lo- Hi is default). Continue scroll to Sarasota section- Sarasota & CIGAR freqs. And there you go.
