Anyone know what frequency to use to monitor Bayflight transmissions in Sarasota county? I'm assuming they're on a digital trunking system but am not sure. Would greatly appreciate assistance.

Thanks.

Bay Flite reports to the Sarasota FD on one of their Tac channels. Generally Tac 1 or 2 on the truncked system.

Bayflight uses whatever channel of the agency requesting their services. That varies. However the Sarasota County Fire Department contacts them on either Tac 1, Tac 2, or Tach 3 depending which battalion the call is in. Also SCFD is now on 800 mhz trunking which keeps you from listening to it.

Why would their being on an 800 MHz trunking system prevent you from listening to them?

Because Sarasota County's system is a 3600 baud digital system.

The State of Florida's Motorola system is 3600 baud digital, and I can listen to it just fine.
