Sarasota police using new radios

anybody else notice Sarasota city Police are using brand new radios, they look like motorola apx series not sure what model number , just wondering if the radio system here in sarasota is about to go through some kind of changes, so far SPD is the only agency that has the apx radios

They are APX-6000 portables and APX-6500 mobiles. They replaced radios that were no longer supported by Motorola and are P25 compatible.
