ASPEN — Air traffic resumed at about 2:45 p.m. Wednesday at the Aspen-Pitkin County Airport, roughly two hours after a small-plane crash shut down the landing strip, authorities said.

The crash occurred at about 12:30 p.m. and involved a late-model, turboprop Piper airplane. Two people were aboard the plane, but no injuries were reported, said Director of Aviation Jim Elwood.

Several other flights were canceled, including a Frontier Airlines departure to Denver.
