PRIVATE JETS SKIDS OFF ASPEN/PITKIN COUNTY RUNWAY ON LANDING
(Aspen, CO 7.23.2014) At approximately 4:45 p.m. a Galaxy G 200 private jet skidded and spun off the runway at the Aspen/Pitkin County Airport on landing. There were three people aboard - two pilots and one passenger. There were no injuries and there was minor damage to the aircraft and runway facility. There is no fuel leak.
The runway is closed until further notice. All private and commercial flights are delayed until the runway reopens. Travelers are asked to call their airlines for up-to-date flight information.
