Hi. all

I decided to try and listen in on the local plow trucks after having been in one of their units (not a plow truck), on Wednesday.
Radio was a Kenwood as seen here: Saskatchewan Dept. of Highways

I plugged 168.0600 MHz into my old Icom R10 with only a a whip antenna on it and could here them in the clear without the NXDN digital being used.

Cheers

Hi, all

I am hearing the plow trucks in the clear again this morning on 168.0600 MHz, without NXDN in use.
The highways department may have stopped using NXDN so they have interoperability with first responders.
I believe RCMP/EMS/Fire have 168.0600 MHz in their radio's zones/ramps.
Not hearing anything on the other highways department channels 166.6200 MHz and 171.9300 MHz.

Cheers.

Hi all,

Lots of action being heard every day, in the clear without any NXDN on 168.0600 MHz.
