Hi,
I've been out of the scanner arena for quite some time. Could someone recommend a good scanner to purchase that can pick up the new digital RCMP frequencies? What are the new RCMP frequencies? Are they encrypted, or just digital now?

Where is the best place to look for an up-to-date list of scanner frequencies for Yorkton? I'm interested in a scanner that could pick up RCMP, ambulance, fire, cordless phones, cell phones, etc.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!
See below, however, not sure if your system will be similar to STARS as suggested by richster last year. RCMP Freqs

This was disscussed in another thread, but I believe this CC is the same or similiar to the one running the STARS system in Virginia. They have the same problem, they can't track it.
The 96/2096 can trunktrack STARS but misses some transmissions due to multipac usage in the CC.
The new versions of GRE digital scanners that are slated to be out this fall,
This scanner with recent upgrades to CPU and DSP nails Virginia STARS.

Do they not have a repeater frequency? If they do is it in analog mode. I live in Ontario and the Ontario Provincial Police are Apco 25 with a repeater on 410.875MHZ, just wondering if RCMP set up is the similar?
