yes, tech cert in my background, that stated, due to personal choice made years ago i decided to only drive across this great country for business and in 16 made 5 round trips.
Dec 18 headed out on a “vacation” which lasted 60 days and encompassed 11k and an exhausted driver!
during these trips i have discovered the 2900 was basically inadequate for its intended purpose...communication during emergencies due to a variety of reasons not worth regurgitated here...
my research to date, shows there’s a lot of bluster which i am unable to discern the chaff from the kernel on best value for the $$$$ For device & plan!
i torn between using the device in conjunction with my smartfone, e.g., Iridium GO!, or stand alone Iridium Extreme 9575 Satellite Phone or Inmarsat Isat phone 2.
device would be to provide short term emergency communications and have a emergency locator button.
finally, which provider has best value plans to meet what i perceive would be max 30/45/60 minutes a month (?)
