I was listening to BCSOtaskforc10 the other day. It sounded like a warrant was going to be served. The radio ID's I saw started with 601xxxx and 604xxxxx which I believe to be SAPD and BCSO. There was one other radio ID that started with 526xxxxx. Any ideas on who or what agency that may be??

Today I caught TG 38851. It sounded like a maintenance group. Conversations about power out in the East wing and a reference to river level. I'll try to catch it tomorrow and look at the radio id's. I did not see that TG in the database.

Thanks

Howdy,

so my first thought about your initial observation would be a HIDTA (High Interdiction Drug Taskforce Agency) ID or maybe DEA.

As for the second observation, the Convention Center comes to mind especially with the reference to the river level.

just my two cents.

Update on TG 38851, the radio id’s start with 603xxxxx

One nice thing about SAUA TG's is that the last 3 digits will line up with the last 3 Dec on the SA/BC EDACS TRS
I just submitted an update to the RRDB SAUA system to add TG 38851 based on this existing EDACS TG below:
https://www.radioreference.com/apps/db/?sid=1434
Convention Center Talkgroups
NextLevel.gif
(Sub-Cat on the SA/BC EDACS TRS) to show you where 38851 came from)
851 - 06-103 - A - CC MAINT - Maintenance Operations - Public Works

Another relevant example is how the 2 systems TG's correlate (this pattern made for quick SAUA TG's ID'ing )
Look at the below example of how the last 3 "decimal" digits line up - each systems TG's end in "043" got it ;)
Note: I do NOT see a match on the SA/BC EDACS TRS for the SAUA TRS TG-39167 BCTF Ops 10 you heard ?

Bexar County Sheriff Talkgroups (SAUA P25 TRS)
39043 (9883) D - BCSO West Disp - West Dispatch (C&D) - Law Dispatch
Bexar County Sheriff's Office Talkgroups (SA/BC EDACS Mixed Mode Pro-Voice/Analog TRS)
1043 (08-023) D - BCSO West Disp - West Dispatch - Law Dispatch

Well won't the future SA/BC P25 Phase II system be fun documenting by 2021 - especially if TG's are encrypted ?

ID's on a P25 system that start with 5 have been DPS on the LCRA system. And I have seen DPS helos use the SAUA system from time to time and their ID starts with 5XXXX when they are not using one of their Provoice radios. There was a document that DPS put out a while back on the ID numbering system for P25 systems across the state. State units started with 5's LCRA users started with 8's, etc....
