Saunders County Search

[SCPD]

Six people are stuck in a snow drift on county road T in between county RD 10 and Leshara. Three male left the vehicle going to a house on county Rd T. No one has made contact with the three males since they left the vehicle.
NSP 2 troopers from Omaha, Douglas county sheriff (two officers are now stuck in Leshara), Yutan fire bring a high loader, Cedar Bluffs fire and Woodcliff fire 1 (also stuck in a snow drift) are all responding. Saunders SO will not respond do to road conditions.
Sounder Fire departments are using the Ithaca and Inglewood towers. DCSO is on their Dispatch. The two dispatchers are in contact with each other via the phone.

NSP on scene. Yutan Fire tring to go up CO RD 7 to Leshara. Yutan Fire is also going up 264st in Douglas Count, this would take them through Valley.

It sounds like the Yutan team made it to Leshara via Douglas County.

Good stuff on the Saunders 800mhz system. We may need a permanent scanner feed

All partys made it to a farm house and are ok. All units went back in service.
Yutan fire and DCSO did switch to douglas county fire dispatch at the end of the search, which is B3 in Yutan's radios
There are a lot more vehicles getting stuck on the roads in Saunders county. Yutan, Mead, Cedar Bluffs fire depts are out helping the stranded people.
Most radio traffic is on the inlgewood and ithaca towers.

Party stuck on HWY 92 between Yutan and Mead. Wahoo is sending the snowmobile out for rescue. Most all highways are closed including interstate outside the metro areas. Please stay off the roads or plan on camping in your vehicle

Mead fire did find the person and they did not need the snowmobile.

Morse Bluffs FD just paged out for a car in the ditch on HWY79 and CR26.
Paged out as a snow rescue.

Yeah I even heard this N9WHM guy trying to make it home off Dodge back to Gretna on 235. =p

Ceresco Rescue even had to spend about an hour with that front loader digging to get up near Co Rd 14 and the County Line just to try and make it to the call. Crazy out there.

Yutan fire just pulled someone off the road at HWY92 and County Rd 7. Highway 92 is impassable from Yutan to Wahoo. 7-10' drifts.
