Does anyone have a link to a site that has detailed info about Savannah Fire? There used to be something out there but it's gone. The city of Savannah's webpage does not have much info at all.
Specifically, where are the stations located? Since I lived there 13 years ago some downtown stations have been closed and new halls built. I understand there are 14 or 15 stations now. Also a roster of apparatus would be nice because during my recent visit they seemed to have new stuff in red and did away with the lime-yellow.
Have they started running medical calls? They used to just run fire calls.
Thanks in advance!
OH...one more thing. Has anyone heard about plans to move to digital? They've been SmartZone analog for some time now.

I don't think that will happen for quite a while. Chatham County and Effingham County just spent big $ upgrading the system and completing the merger.

They've got well over 1000 radios in use (with handhelds and mobiles) including both counties and the City of Savannah. Unless they get federal or state aid to upgrade it seems improbable. Your analog trunker will probably serve for a few more years at least.

Now, if you want to monitor Fort Stewart and Hunter AAF....that's a different matter.
