I have a 'default' profile with maybe 45 favorite lists for the areas around my home. I created and loaded a new profile with only a handful of favorites to prepare for an out of state trip. Took the trip, and all was good with the new profile. I just got home and attempted to load the 'default' profile back, and it not longer contains the 45 favorite lists. So - I looked at some of the other profiles I have created in the past and they to, mimic the last profile I created/loaded.

This was my first attempt at loading a new profile (I have saved-as others, as I built out my master default setup). I was hoping that a profile on the SDS100 was similar to a "V-Scanner" on the TRX-1, wherein I could maintain different sets of favorite lists. Is this my misunderstanding or is the overwrite of all profiles not something expected?

Thanks in advance!

What month is it?
PROFILE is things like your scan selections, service types, Location settings, Close call. custom display settings, etc, etc...

Your FAVORITE lists are common among however many profiles you have set up.

If you delete a favorite list, it is deleted from all profiles. If you create a favorite list, it is visible in all profiles. The correct action is to change the download setting to OFF in a profile to prevent it from being sent to the scanner.

Thanks all. I was able to recover the previous profile from a backup disk image - bummer about not being able to have multiple 'virtual' setups but I will work with what I have. Thanks again!

You should be able to store multiple Profiles on your computer. The scanner will take only one, however.

In Sentinel, use Tools>Options to see where your Sentinel files are located on your computer. Then, use your Windows Explorer to locate the folder and do some navigation, looking for a Profile folder. Hopefully you should see as many folders as you think you have created Profiles.

If not, something happened to delete folders.

Don't feel bad. I made the same mistake when Sentinel was first released. "Profiles" do not mean the same as they do in other software.

This actually answers a question I have had for quite some time. I finally know what the download setting means.

Thanks !
