I noticed over thew last few days of monitoring, that NC SBI on the VHF repeaters is using both one side, and full encryption... Anyone know if they will encrypt most of thier tg's on the VIPER eventually?

I would assume so, but Not sure.
It was common in the 90s (when I was in brunswick county) for the SBI to call the county of the fire repeater (hi band vs UHF for the law enforcement radios) and they would sometimes use encryption while on the fire repeater instead of their usual 159.285 in delco.
