Can anyone advise what freq SBI is using, specifically in the Triad area?

Can't say for sure, but you'll likely see them all over the spectrum. They still have VHF-hi repeaters they can use, VIPER 800mhz talkgroups, cell/nexhell and likely even some talkgroups on local trunked systems as well as the ability to use local government frequencies.
While it's been ten years, I do remember when the SBI would use the local county fire repeater to talk with county dispatch (since the SBI had VHF-hi mobiles and not UHF like the local law enforcement used).
