Hearing Lexington County personnel working a festival using SCMA-3 and SCMA-4. I'm able to monitor this because SCMA-4 is being patched through the Caesar's Head PAL800 site. Their command said no medical traffic on 4, only on 3.

This explains training operations on SCMA-4 that I thought were in the Upstate.

Guessing it was the Lexington County Peach Festival. Wasn't able to listen however to confirm.

Mutual Aid talkgroups aren't designated to specific areas of the state like the other Interop talkgroups (LE Common 1-7 and Reg Govt 1-7) are. They can be used (on request) in any part of the state. Clearly, MA4 had been or is regularly used in some part of the Upstate if it was being carried on the Ceasars Head site. I wouldn't assume that the same people using MA4 in the Upstate were also participating at this event in the Midlands because they're using the same MA channel, but it's possible.

At one time I saw a list of the lower Mutual Aid groups being designated to specific usage types - Fire, EMS, Law Enforcement, etc. I think those designations were removed some time ago.

The SC Mutual Aid talkgroups were used during the Table Rock and Persimmon Ridge wildfires earlier this year. Mostly by the Greenville County teams. When I heard operations on the Caesars Head Pal800 site, I assumed that it was local. Only when the on-scene people gave street names was it clear they were working in Lexington County.

Perhaps a radio or console used during the wildfires still has SC MA 4 active and is pulling that traffic to Caesars Head. At some point that channel could be removed from the radio/console, and you won't hear it any longer.
