Here's what you will need.

All you will need is a pc to download the oddcast software on and let it run 24x7. Then Other than that all you will need is a single cable that will plug into both your computer headphone jack or mic/line input jack and the other end into your headphone jack on your scanner, Then tell Gordon what areas you will be broadcasting for.. Send him and email at gordon@scanamerica.us for more info. He can set your feed up and let you know what all you will need, however I think I have listed it all, When all said and done and broadcasting online be sure and post here so we can all have a listen in once in awhile, Hope this helps.

Hmmmm.. Sounds like a technical issue with the servers, I'd email gordon at gordon@scanamerica.us and ask him about it, I've had to do that a time or two, I can't say what that may be but it sounds like a tech problem somewhere, I'd email and tell him your problem and see what he tells you..He's usually good about responding, or has been to me anyways...Hope he can help you, Hope this helps.

Lugoffman:

I can successfully connect to your feed, but I'm hearing a constant loud buzz. You might want to check on your audio connection between the scanner and the PC. Are you using the line-in or microphone in on your PC for the sound input?

I listened for about 5 minutes this morning. All I'm hearing is LOTS of loud hum. I hear someone talking occasionally but the hum was so loud it drowned it out.

I did a volume check and it said it was to low I tried to adjust it but it says it is to hi now I dont know what to do to fix it maybe I will try to change the line feed around in the back of the PC to see if that works

Sounds great now Jason,

I still show just a small amount of hum thats always there, but its real low. When I first setup my feed the wall wart was causing the hum. I connected it to my Astron power supply that was already setup and running some ham gear and the hum went away.

What agencies are you scanning?

Richard
