SC21 ?

Hi All,
I am cleaning up some of my notes and have a question. I have talk groups 1501, 1551, 1552, 1553 all listed in my notes as TAC ENC. I know that all those TG’s are secure I was just wondering if anybody has any info on them such as who is using them, what they are used for, and also what towers have you seen them used on?

Since you're a premium subscriber you should be able to look those tg's up here in the database if these are on sc21?

They are Encrypted as I stated above, I was hoping maybe someone just knew what they were used for? They are Encrypted 100% There Is No Way we will ever be able to hear them. But just for the sake of pure curosity I was hoping some one would know what group is operating on those channels. I have looked at the database and was hoping for a little more info than ISP TAC is all.

The only tg that's actually tagged as enc is tg 1501 which is Isp zone 1 special
tg's 1551 thru 1553 are Isp ops zone1 and are not tagged as enc, so you may hear some stuff in the clear.

Heard TG1551 yesterday completely "ENC"....I may be wrong but it could be the "IBI= Ill-Bureau of Investigations....

Yep, or DCI ( dept of crim invest) man, I miss the days of all the rolling surv details I used to hear on 154.950mhz. :wink:

Sorry it has taken me so long to get back to you guys I have been a little busy on my end. I have reliable source telling me it may be Elgin Tactical operations and Detectives? My question to you guys is what towers do we know these radios use, I hear them on tower 101 most of the time but I haven't really had the time to track there use across the state as I would like to. Now if my source was right these talkgroups would be affiliated to the Kane County tower 90% of the time and it would also make sense that traffic would spill over to tower 101 if they get close to one of the sites or follow somebody out of Elgin. The radios Id's I see used are in the 310XXX range which kind of correlate with some of the radio Id's I have seen in use on the USDOJ 25 cities system. So I dont know what to think at this point, so I guess my main question to everybody who responded and thank you for that by the way., My question to all who responded is where do you guys see these talkgroups being used?, what towers have you seen them on?, and how often? I know it seems kind of pointless to be pursuing this so much since they are 100% encrypted but the radio Id's have caught my attention and it kills me when I cant ID a channel even if it is encrypted. Thanks for any help with this little project.

T102-So Cook, T113-Will Co=TG1551, not very often heard.....Also hearing Metra testing on TG-2991,2992 and 2993.....
