I may pick one up for my collection.

I picked one up about two months ago from scannermaster. It will extend to what the specifications say but towards the end it does get a little flimsy but all in all good antenna. The base is very strong to support the overall length. I put mine in my Maxpedition Versipack as a backup antenna when I go out with DART during disasters.

One more question... Is it just painted black metal or rubber coated? Hard to tell from picture.
