TRX 2. It work fine out box. I only have 3 week it new
From the easier to read manual...
| Restore Factory Defaults (button)/Default Vals Resets all settings to their default values except the welcome message. |

I can not find File menu > Restore Factory Defaults.
These menu options should be found in the EZ Scan software
I got this from Whistler when i asked:
You can reset the scanner two ways; 1 from the radio or 2, in the EZscan PC programming software.
In the radio:
1) Go to main menu and select "Set Location" and choose the "Clear Channels" option.
2) When done, go back to main menu and select Program Menu/Global settings and scroll down to "Default Vals" and press SEL. The unit doesn't really show anything when you press this as it clears everything so fast.
3) Press Left Arrow to go back.
4) Unit will display "Save Changes?", press SEL for OK
5) Press Menu to go back to Main Menu
If "Set Location" is not shown on Main Menu
1) Scroll to Program Menu press SEL
2) Global setting should be selected. press SEL
3) Press the UP arrow to the option "LocationSelect"
4) Press SEL to select it ( check mark vs an empty box)
5) Press MENU. Unit will display "Save Changes?", press SEL for OK
6) Press Menu to go back to Main Menu
If "LocationSelect" is not shown on step 3 above.
1) Press the UP arrow to the option "Bandplan"
2) Use the Right or Left arrow to select "USA"
3) Press MENU. Unit will display "Save Changes?", press SEL for OK
4) Press Menu to go back to Main Menu
In EZScan:
1) Under the file menu select New Configuration
2) Select the Default folder ( CDAT) and press Select.
3) Select your band plan
4) Connect scanner to your PC
5) Under the Scanner/SD card pull down menu select "Copy configuration to scanner/memory card"
