hi and good day - have a new uniden ubc125xlt for aircraft predominantly - i have just downloaded scan125 and demo arc125 noticed you can download into arc125 radio reference freqs but cannot see that function in scan125 (probably missed it) - have been swl on hf for eons (cw/morse) - both programs appear really solid but inputting data manually due to my eyesight could be a challenge so auto inputting could sway me - my first post on here so thanks and regards john

Hi
Maybe unwise to put your postcode in your location info.

Import of RadioReference data is pretty much useless to you in Wales (UK generally) so really isn't relevant to deciding between the software. It's also a paid feature of this site.
Posts in the UK lead me to think that by far the majority of users there stick to scan125 as it has the functionality that is required, author is in the UK and is responsive ...plus the price is much much attractive.

Hi acerimmer57

Your observation regarding Scan125 and Radio Reference Import from Radio Reference is correct and you did not miss anything.

Currently Scan125 does not directly support import from RR but can import RR data in CSV format or from any spreadsheet program that can crease a CSV file.

The import from CSV file is currently a two stage process using the Scan125Convert utility.

This utility is very flexible in it's ability to take any CSV file and extract the required data and target a scanner memory/channel location.

As mention by morfis RR data for the UK is a little thin on the ground. Most UK bases people use forums, file.data sharing and the likes of UK Scanning Directory.
