I would like to know if anyone has used the latest version of scancat lite programming and if so how did they like it and if they had issues with it. I'm just looking for something basic I use freescan now but it doesn't program all the scanners I have like the bc780xlt and the bc796d.
Proscan is more then I need is there any other basic programming software out there that I can use.

Never use Scancat for any scanner that has alternatives. There are many horror stories out there from folks that try to use it.

ProScan is about the best there is, really. If you don't mind having to do manual entry of frequencies, Scan Control will handle both of those radios, but it's very dated software and isn't quite as functional as there has been many changes to RR since that version was released. Apart from the ability to put your scanner online, the advantage with ProScan is that it will handle all the scanners FreeScan does, and then some

Thanks, I don't mind doing it manual I have done my fair share, it's just much easier using a keyboard. I will look into Proscan even though it's more then I need at least it's updated for newer radios since I have other radios that Freescan nor Scan Control cover completely. I looked at Scan Control and your right it's very dated. I read that Proscan can be tried for 30 days before buying so I think that is the way to go.

That's correct, ProScan has a 30 day free trial.

I use it for a number of different scanners, including older ones (BC780XLT & BC250D) that FreeSCAN does not cover.
