You shouldn't have a issue with it at all. I worked in Security at a hospital for a few months as a part time gig to supplement some christmas cash I needed and we had cops in there for surgery that brought in their radios and scanners to listen to.
They have even proved that cell phones don't cause interferrance with any of the equipment either so a scanner shouldn't be a issue there.
N JAY 2 and 2 isn't 5 and your logic is way off base and any medic or nurse on here will tell you the same. If the IV solution or lines were conductive in anyway then they wouldn't use the AEDs, ventlators or any other electrical run devices on you while you have a IV running into your body.
Not to mention a scanner runs on less voltage then any of those items especially a electrical hospital bed.
