Scanner Batteries

Ok, I have looked this site over and over and can't seem to find a posting for batteries.

What I came in today was to see if a dead battery, on an ac charger while connected to a scanner, would still receive frequencies that are still program in the radio.

I have the ac charger plugged in to the battery on the scanner and yes, it has power and scans but doesn’t stop on frequencies that are in the scanner.


Is the the fact that the battery was dead as hectors pup or what?

You would think so, but not.

I may check the speaker as it could have died..
