I designed this circuit to utilize Teamspeak's 'push to talk' feature rather than the VOX feature that can be unreliable and difficult to dial in.

I did not use any isolation in my setup as I don't care if the old equipment fails, but good engineering practice will employ a 1:1 audio transformer in the audio line and an optocoupler between the serial port and the voltage comparator, and the common ground tie will be eliminated.
