Here's how I have my Pro-97 set up, mainly for listening to the Metro Tulsa area only. But I also have Win97 so I can custom build/upload programming for when I travel.

Bank 0: Tulsa PD Uniform Division East and Catoosa PD (OK DPS-Tulsa Site)
Bank 1: Tulsa PD Uniform Division North and Sand Springs PD (OK DPS-Tulsa Site)
Bank 2: Tulsa PD Uniform Division Southwest and Sapulpa (OK DPS-Tulsa Site)
Bank 3: Tulsa County Sheriff Office, Tulsa County Jail and Tulsa County Health Deparment (OK DPS-Tulsa Site)
Bank 4: Oklahoma Highway Patrol Troop B (Including Turnpikes) and NE Oklahoma Mutual Aid (OK DPS-Tulsa Site)
Bank 5: Tulsa Metro Area Fire Departments and Tulsa Int'l Airport Authority (OK DPS-Tulsa Site)
Bank 6: Tulsa Public Works, Tulsa Area and State Mutual Aid (OK DPS-Tulsa Site)
Bank 7: Tulsa International Airport (Aircraft and Traffic Control) (Std Analog)
Bank 8: Broken Arrow PD (Edacs)
Bank 9: Owasso PD/FD and Collinsville PD/FD (Old Owasso 800 System)

My Pro-94 has all of the above along with Jenks, Glenpool and Bixby to round out the Metro Tulsa Area. I tried programming my Pro-97 the same as my -94 but I found that changing between banks of talkgroups on it is not very user friendly on the -97. Whereas switching between banks of frequencies on the -94 is a pain also but talkgroups are just a single button push.

Configuration

I have one radio set up very similar to KJWILSON, for Tulsa Area. Since I live in a rural area, I have another radio set up by county, monitoring the county I live in as well as those surrounding me.

Well, I have a 996 so banks are meaningless.

but I have these groups,

Local conventional
North OK conventional
South OK conventional
East OK conventional
Texas conventional
Texas DPS P-25
OKC PD EDACS
OK DPS OKC MOT-2
OK DPS Lawton MOT-2
Edmond/Norman DPS MOT-2
Dallas/Ft. Worth PD/Fire
Denton TX PD
W'Falls EDACS
Lubbock MOT-2
Arkansas WINS
Colorado DPS

Lots more, can't remember them -I've been at work since 7 last night. We had a Natural Gas line cut and my facility was in emergency status till this morning. I travel a lot buying equipment so my 996 is with me always.

bank 0 - 2m ham repeaters - Tulsa area
bank 1 - currently off - was OHP talk groups
bank 2 - off - EMSA 400MHz med freqs, rural ambulance services
bank 3 - State DPS, Tulsa site, TPD/TFD/Lifeflight talk groups, along with Catoosa, Sand Springs, Berryhill, Oak Grove, etc. Above that are conventional Tulsa area FD (Verdigris, Limestone, etc.)
Bank 4 - Tulsa area UHF (70cm) repeaters, Tulsa ARC linked system repeaters
Bank 5 - KCMO EDACS, FD talk groups
Bank 6 - Broken Arrow EDACS, some east & SE (relative to Tulsa) conventional freqs (mostly FD and ham)
Bank 7 - Bixby/Glenpool EDACS, some south (relative to Tulsa) conventional
Bank 8 - Owasso MOT, some north conventional freqs.
Bank 9 - a few odd business freqs, off currently. This is also the "scratch pad" when searching (since that's what my scanner uses for "memo" freqs during search.

It's a Pro-95. The reason for KCMO is my family lives there - that bank is off except when I'm there, in which case it's the only one that is on. Bank 6, 7 and 8 are so I can cycle off the "weak" stations all at once, and not be bothered by people breaking the squelch and then not being readable. I live and work in midtown, so each would only be "on" if I'm out running around, and then which is on depends on which way I'm going. 1 and 2 are still there, but basically defunct, unless the 800MHz system goes down, in which case bank 1 has a lot of conventional PD, and bank 2 can track EMSA if they aren't using the 800 encrypted or if they're patched.

Bank 0 and 4 are so I can keep an ear on the local amateur repeaters. I'm a club officer of TARC, so if any of ours have a problem, I need to know. But I have everyone else's in there, too. Really should be split by area rather than band, but I'm too lazy to change it.
