Scanner for CPS and Alberta RCMP?

Greetings all. I am new to the hobby and have come here for some advice. I would like to be able to monitor the Calgary Police Service and Alberta based RCMP units.

Do I need a digital scanner for this? Will the Uniden BCD396T work for these agencies?

This is the DataBase for Alberta RCMP You should be good to go for them from what I see.

CPS are on this system. There are a few "E"ncrypted groups you wont get but most is just digital that the 396 should be good for.

I have a 396T for that very reason.. You may want to consider the 396XT now that's it out.
