Scanner for SSPD

Hey there! Very new to this forum, was told about it yesterday by b7spectra

Looking to buy a trunking scanner to listen to Sandy Springs Police, Sandy Springs Fire, and Rural Metro. Looking for suggestions...

Does any trunking scanner work for what I'm trying to do?

Is this a good buy?

That scanner will work fine FOR NOW. however, it has been confirmed that Sandy Springs/CHATCOMM will be moving to a digital radio system (either the Cobb/UASI Astro 25 system or Dekalb's Astro 25 system) later this year or 1st quarter next year, so the wise bet would be to invest in a digital capable scanner.
