Scanner for Thornton PD and Denver PD

Both the 396xt/996xt and 106/197 are great radios. If youre new to scanner, may want to go with the cheaper 106/197.

Have you tried looking in the Radio Reference Database? Lists all the Colorado info you need. But, just a thought it may be a digital, P-25 scanner that will be needed. Oh, the Colorado Forum might hold some info for you too:)

You are definitely going to need a digital for the EDACS ESK in Denver, so look at GRE's PSR 500/600 or Uniden's BCD 396XT/996XT.
Thornton's police and fire are digital as well on the DTRS.

Well, a 346xt will do ESK I believe. But yes, digital is your only option for Thornton.
