I have just joined today April 12, 2010. I have a scanner that I'd like to know how to get more frequencies so I can hear what's going on. (Where I live, Youngstown OH, actually outside the city itself, we have to watch out for ourselves & our elderly neighbors.). We have alarms, fence (which the cops love because it stops the bad ones from running away on this part of the street). I have some frequencies, but can't hear all the action. Where I come from (PA) a siren goes off & you can hear all the action, here I'm not sure I am on the right frequencies. (It's like living on another planet out here in OH). Can anyone help me?

First...WELCOME to RadioReference countrykat. You've definitely ended up in the right spot to further your listening experience.

Two suggestions to get you in the right direction: (1) go to the blue menu bar at the top of the page and select the "DATABASE" button, from here you will be able to drill down to the county/city that you are interested in. (2) Check out the Ohio forum... there are folks there that can help you out as well.

Good Luck & Good Listening,
Keith
