The "# listened to in all of North America!" is in the app on my iPhone, & is constantly changing. Plus I just added some that were in the top 100 of the app at my own will, so don't rip my head of if you don't agree, LOL! One thing is for sure though, "Waterloo, Ontario Police" scanner station is alway's in the top 10, of top 100, in "All Of North America" on my iPhone, via "5-0 Radio" Wonder what is "GROWIN" on in Waterloo! LOL, just kidding. Get the "5-0 Radio. PRO" version or if you need Toronto Police because it's exclusive to "Scanner 911" app.

personally I would not be publicly mentioning anything about streaming ontario police ,as I think these days with the way things are going it would take very very little to justify them going fully encrypted .
Drawing thier attention would maybe not be best ...its not something I would be showing to friends about ...
just my opinion.

Why, is it illegal? You think they don't know everyone is listening already? You see after each location it say's "Public Safety?" You really think someone posting the link's that "EVERYONE" has access too, & "EVERYONE" who own's an iPhone has access to is going to make them pull the plug? Whatever, to each his own. If the moderator's do not want the link's here they will delete them & give me a boot in the ass! For every "BAD" guy that uses them, there is probably 10 "GOOD" guy's that may get help with them, so I don't see it being an issue. Which category do I fall into? Depend's what day it is! LOL< PEACE!

Ignore these!!!!!!!! They only work in the "SCANNER 911" app on my iPhone or in the browser on my iPhone! Sorry for those two, the rest work though.

I've been posting police audio since 2004 here in my city. 90% of my forum members, facebook members and youtube fans are officers from that department. They have the ability to go encrypted on the fly and do so when necessary. All of the officers not only love my site for several reasons, they appreciate the fact that I go out of my to show appreciation for the job they do.

Good to know, I agrree! I'm new to all this. If they can encrypt anytime they want, then how come I can listen to every station on my iPhone, anywhere?

Im saying it certainly contributed to the decision & drew their attention ,& it will be the same when other agencies attention gets drawn to the issue of it becoming popular for every punk to be running around listening to comms on their smartphone & showing it off,...., If it was your agency that it was becoming popular to stream its comms to phones what would you do?
Just because you can do something ,...or say something publicly ,...doesn't always mean you should...
You are free to do as you choose , I am not trying to pick a fight , The only idea that I am trying to get across is that this info may be better circulated privately rather than publicly

You are fortunate if you are in an area where agencies would look at this activity as positive ,...but here it seems certain agencies do not share this view on its public having oversight into what they do....
