Same here. That was the first thing I said when I saw it.

I understand why that is so - it's due to the larger display. Still, I've suggested a way they could keep the same display and shrink the overall size - two ways, in fact.

I'm happy with my 396 I just pray that my city still uses p1 a few more years. Because if they go p2 which is in test phase, neither scanner makers have a scanner that would be to my liking. 436 kinda too tall 325 good size not enough battery. 396 form factor with some upgrades.
