TRX-1: Scanner not found

I know this has been discussed before but I can't find the thread , I have a Whistler TRX-1 and EZ scan software, I'm able to copy scanner files from my scanner to the computer and computer to scanner but when I try to update firmware it says scanner not found it did this a couple of years ago but I don't remember how this problem got resolved ? Please help !

There have been recent problems with the Whistler servers. If you can copy configuration to and from the scanner, you have communication.
