Apologies if this is not in the correct subforum.

I'm looking for radio enthusiasts to operate BCT15 scanners to monitor Northern California. The scanners will be installed at a co-location in Sacramento so you can work from anywhere with internet access. Experience with BCT15s would be preferred.

Send an email to vince@fireleads.info if you are interested.

there is a very simple way you can control and operate and listen to your scanner anywhere via internet

using a 15 - a handheld anything -

skype with auto answer -

audio transformer to remove bias from the computer mic line - and to adjust/amplify audio to your liking

configure remote desktop access for your computer

use uasd or freescan for virtual control

------

operate skype and restrict your user list to contacts only
connect audio from scanner to mic input on computer
connect programming cable from computer to scanner
make sure remote desktop is enabled and working
turn on uasd or free scan virtual control

----------
whereever you are you can connect and listen -if you need to control scanner you remote desktop in and control and do whatever you want

---works great
i listen all over the world to my scanner at home
other people use slingbox but thats kind of overkill

i prefer my home dish network dvr on my slingbox

Sent an email as well.... I also checked out the Fireleads website and was very impressed with their alerting system..... I asked Vince how I would be able to send alerts for the site as it appears the cover a lot of Cali.

I had an exchange of a few emails the very next day. Each response had little or no information and I kept asking for more details. Then I was told "the position has been filled" and that was the end of it.
