I used freescan to import the rr site ny-nyc fire dispatch.
Looking at the freq's imported the uhf channels are in the format
482.23125
483.38125
ect.

I uploaded the info to my scanner (bcd996xt).
Later I downloaded what was in my scanner using freescan.

Then looking at the same uhf channels in freescan they all changed to

482.23120
483.38120
ect.

If it is the scanners inability to set the last digit does it make any difference in the ability to
listen to the channels?

The last digit represents 50 hz, and is not significant in tuning the scanner.

AFAIK, XT scanners are only good for 4 places after the decimal. It will round off, and you will never really notice the difference. I see the expert(UPman) agrees with me.
