i recently bought the whistler scanners and upgraded my subscription to premium at radio reference. however, i can not determine which software would link my scanner and computer to radio reference based on the software list at radio reference.

any suggestions?

Currently, there is no third party software for those models. That is also the case for the other Whistler 'database' scanners as well as the older units from the now defunct GRE. This would include WS1080, WS1088, WS1095, WS1098, PSR-800, and the RadioShack versions Pro-18 & Pro-668.

The Whistler provided software, EZ-Scan, includes updates to the RadioReference database, which are usually available on Saturdays. A Premium Subscription is not required to get the updates.

You don't need a RadioReference premium account. You just need to download this software:

https://whistlergroup.com/products/ez-scan-for-trx-1

https://whistlergroup.com/products/ez-scan-for-trx-2

You may also find this software on the SD cards that came with your radios.

thank you for the information steve. i used the ezscan software to load my trunk freqs. thought the radio reference option would fill in any missing trunk freqs.

i was able to import conventional freqs from radio reference with ezscan using microsoft xl.

You should perform updates of the library in the EZ Scan software before starting any programming sessions.

The library updates are generally available for EZ Scan every Saturday morning.

Anything that is submitted between Friday night and the following Friday would have to be gathered from the RR database and manually entered (or just wait until Saturday).
