That's correct and connected to your network, and running the ProScan Web Server, or RSOIP (Remote Scanner Over IP) feature or my free RadioFeed Web Server. RadioFeed doesn't have remote control capability.
The 536HP would be better for that sounds like

I never had a Uniden scanner all of mine are RadioShack
Coming from the GRE/Radio Shack/Whistler world to Uniden, some may find the programming method difficult or at least not what they are used to. I think the Uniden way of programming makes perfect sense and is easy to program. The same can be said of coming from the Uniden world to the GRE/Radio Shack/Whistler line of scanners.

Just remember that the later model RadioShack scanners, such as the Pro-96/2096, and the later object oriented scanners starting with the Pro-106 & Pro-197, were made by GRE (and the follow on versions were GRE designs produced by Whistler, but labeled for Radio Shack). But some of the R/S units before those were produced by Uniden, but labeled with RadioShack model numbers.
