Scanner recommendations?

Hi,
I'm new to this forum, and I've used the feature to suggest scanners for the Johnson Co area. Anyone in this area have an opinion on what mobile scanner to buy? I understand that Johnson Co might be going digital, so I'm leaning to buying one of those so I don't have a boat anchor if/when they do convert.
