If anyone happens to get a 30% coupon, that would bring the digital scanners to $280. Of course the R/S discount is 30% as well. I wonder if I can get hired for a day? :lol:

Around christmas time, RS gives a dozen or so coupons to all their employees to give to friends/family so that they can receive the employee discount.

Also RS credit card holders get 10% off coupons from time to time in the mail.

Store closing sales

Many Radio Shack stores that are closing are selling the PRO-96 and PRO-2096 for $299 right now, 060806, some stores are even adding on another -10% to those fire sale prices!

That's an in store only thing then? The problem is that nobody in my state sells digital scanners at all. I would probably buy a 2096 on the RS card on-line but it sounds like that won't be possible at that price. Am I correct?

Honestly, it may be in stores only, and it may not be. I've seen stores have items on sale, and they weren't online, and vice versa. I've also seen where it took the webmasters a week before it went on sale on their site. So who knows until the time comes.

I have in several cases had people order scanners through me, and recieve a discount in doing so. If your interested, just send me a PM.

Just so you know, closing stores are not particapting in the sales. So it is not on sale for $149, but regular price, 199. However, most stores are giving away big discounts, some up to 60%!! Each store is different though, depending on their expected closing date.

Picked up a 95 for $117.99...And now I just realized after some deeper research that Illinois State Police will be DIGITAL LOL

So now I have to sell the 95 and get a 96 to monitor the APCO25 system that is being set up.

You can return the Pro-95 for a full refund if under 30 days since you bought it.

Radio Shack Exchange Policy

Does anyone know how long out you could exchange a scanner for another at the Shack? I have a New in Box never used PRO-2052 and 2055 that I would like to trade towards a PRO-2096 on Sale. I do have receipts for both but I've had them for around 6-8 months.

Yes, as long as it wasn't purchased from a closing store, and within 30 days.
