Somebody pointed me to Uniden's site for their software for the scanner that I just bought. It workes pretty well and I can see how there would be all sorts of uses for PC scanner software.

Is there a package out for the 330T besides the Uniden sw?

USAD330 vs ARC330

Hello,

Butel has announced that they will be releasing software for the BR330T in December. I'm sure that it will be much like their software for the BC246T and the BCD396T. After I bought the BC246T, I downloaded the demos for both ARC246 and Uniden's USAD246 and tried them both out. In my opinion, ARC246 is much easier to use, so I purchased it. After I bought the BCD396T, the USAD software for it is free, but I had a hard time getting used to it, so I bought the ARC396 when it became available. The BR330T is next on my list as soon as I save up enough money, and I'll also be buying ARC330.

Until ARC330 is released, You can download and "evaluate" USAD330 from Uniden's Web Site. If not registered, it can only upload four systems specifically named “Motorola,” “EDACS,” “LTR,” and “Conventional” (although they don't have to be those types). It also will erase whatever is in the scanner when you upload something into it to prevent you from loading more than the four system into it.
