Scanner with VGA output

I really enjoy watching my scanner on my computer screen when the computer is running it. We all have old VGA monitors sitting around that we could use as a scanner output. It would free up the computer to do other things. The computer really doesn't do anything while it is running a scanner, so why not just have a VGA port on the back of the desktop scanners?

I like this idea. Or maybe even Hdmi outputs would be great!!!

I have my VIZIO TV connected along side of my monitor for a second screen. Connected to the computer with a VGA cable. The monitor uses a DVI cable. Great to have a extra monitor.
