Scanner woes

I have a previously working BC248CLT clock radio scanner that scans wonderfully-- until it picks up something. Then it seems to open up the squelch completely, even if not on "auto" mode, resulting in white noise and being stuck on that frequency. Manually switching to another frequency fixes nothing; white noise everywhere unless a unit is transmitting. The only way to remedy the situation is to toggle the scanner on and off, and wait for someone else to begin transmitting, when the ordeal starts over again. Moving the unit elsewhere seeking less possible causes of interference doesn't help. Any ideas, before I torch the thing? :evil:

I know nothing about the radio but have you tried doing a reset on it yet?

I don't know what DK is but it sounds like fun I was having my ornery time lastnight after the Pistons put away the Pacers :lol:

DK = slang for drunk, I never really get totally "DK", and I never leave the house. Pistons & Pacers sounds like a car race, but I think you mean basketball. The only sport I love & watch is football. I tried to watch some Nuggets playoffs, but found out that they SUCK. Just about time to crash, be back tomorrow.
