scanner won;t stop on tg

seems the my 396xt will not lock onto certain tg's
it will stop on the conventional ones but no the tg that are entered from the data base.
but hit the hold but and scroll through and bam. they are talking on it. but take it off hold and it will only lock back on the conventional one again.
is common with the 396t' or xt's not being able to lock onto these.
and any know way to fix it.
also what is the most current s/w for the 396xt.
or maybe these scanners just don't like edacs..

Sounds like something isn't programmed properly...Did you directly import it from the RR DB or program it yourself?

i loaded it fro the rr db.
not sure why it does this.

go into program settings> your system you programmed >edit site> hold time see if its set to 2 seconds instead of 0 that might be the problem

are all the group quick keys enabled? Try ID search instead of scan and see if you get anything

the 396XT handles EDADS just fine
if you can hear them in HOLD mode then it sounds like something is wrong with the trunking frequencies/setup/bandplan

if its a EDACS system, did u import 1 site at a time (with all frequencies) or mash them all together?
try one site at a time.

i still have the older s/w version. i'll update it and reload all from the db and see what happens.
