To delete a feed, make sure you aren't scanning. Right click on the feed you want to delete and select delete. Make sure you save your changes before you close the program and you'll be all set.

How can anything be improved? I don't have the answer. Newer versions come out every day for everything. My PRESEdit program probably has been updated 30 times. New things and better ways are always right around the corner.

I think the question that was meant to be asked was: Is there a new version of the program in the works?

Yes, it can be improved upon, and I know from being part of the beta test process and reading this entire thread that Rob has many suggestions on how to make the program better. I think that the program is more than adequate the way it is, and anything else is gravy, but I'm sure we'll see improvements in version 2....when it comes out....and I'm willing to wait, because I know it will be done right. Do I want to know when it's coming out? Not really. When it's released, it's released.

This is a feed that I am running and the tags display fine in Winamp.

Yes, the program will run on a thumb drive. That's what I do, bring it to work and use it at home.

This might be question already answered but how do yo do that? Install the program on the flash drive?

I don't think this is an error on the software end, just one of the unseen problems with multiple feeds running within the same program. If you start Winamp for example, it takes a bit of time for the text tags to be displayed properly. Now add this delay to ten feeds, every time a feeds audio is passed, it has to wait for the text info to "rebuffer" (for lack of a better term) to be displayed properly.

Citywide may be on to something, also remember that I'm charging $20 and some of that goes to royalties. If I was able to triple that price I'd have had funds to snag better audio software internally for the tag processing, but I think that would have eliminated much of my customer base.

I see its been almost 8 months since the SW author (or anyone else) has discussed this app so I wonder what the future holds for it..
I was unable to install. The log file is below. Note that I do NOT have any version of ScannerLive installed on this system and to the best of my recollection never have had.

On the optimistic side allow me to suggest that for this to be worth $20 to me (even assuming I could get it to install on my system), it would need a "Tivo" type playback. In other words it could buffer the last xx minutes of audio on each feed so that if you just caught the tail end of a transmission, or just didn't hear it clearly you could hit a button to rewind the last 10 seconds or so. This would be of great value to me.and would only need to buffer at least 10 minutes.

The future is beautiful! I run it every day and it works fine, and it will work fine with Broadcastify too.

My guess based on the error is that at some point you installed the 32-bit version and have 64-bit Windows (or vice versa.) Uninstall.

From the "run" prompt in Windows, type

rundll32 dfshim CleanOnlineAppCache

Then install the correct version for your Windows.

Upgrades are always welcome for discussion in the SL forum!

Good guess.. that did the trick, its installed now. And I am sure it will work great with Broadcastify.. but it is still "iffy" that the feeds I am interested in will remain after the change.

I've been scanning since I was a kid in the mid-1950s - long before they "scanned" - and this application is one of the greatest things since sliced peaches.

I'm wondering if it would function as the audio "source" for someone to blend/switch his own set of multiple feeds. (Obviously we can't stream other peoples' streams)

I can connect to the stream just like any other feed using a PC, smartphone, iPad etc. One of the feeds (my local PD) is set to priority so that I can always catch them in between the other 6 I have running in ScannerLive.

Right, Mike. Your "source" set-up is exactly what I was wondering about. So you then send a non-RadioReference stream out for your own remote listening via smartphone or other device? What service and/or application do you use for that - I've never figured out how to self-stream for myself to my Tablet or other PC.
